A 13 acre county park on Butte Creek, open sunrise to sunset. Parking is $5 a day or $30 for the Marion County annual pass, charged 1 April through 31 October, and it is the same pass that works at Salmon Falls and every other county park that charges. No dogs and no motorized boats. Restrooms, an observation deck, a playground and a reservable picnic shelter. You enter at the shallow end and walk down toward the deeper end near the playground to reach the plunge pool. The walk down is rocky and a little sketchy, so wear shoes rather than going barefoot. Free loaner life jackets were on site in August 2026.

Went at 2 on a Thursday afternoon in late August and there was a decent crowd, so expect company. The water is a little darker than Salmon Falls but still very clear, and cold without being brutal. You come in at the shallow end and walk down toward the deeper end near the playground, which is where the real swimming is. The plunge pool is deep enough to actually swim in and people were out in the middle of it. I saw a few people diving in and landing it fine, but it looked dangerous and I would not recommend it. There are free life jackets to borrow. A lot of it is dried up and rocky, so it works as much for wading and laying out in the sun as for swimming. Wear shoes, the walk down is a little sketchy.
