Reopened 18 May 2026 after the 2020 fires, with the entrance moved about a third of a mile east on North Fork Road. Turn right and the parking lot is right there, with a sign showing where to pay. Parking is $5 a day or $30 for a Marion County annual pass, charged 1 April through 31 October. The pass covers every county park that charges plus parking along North Fork Road, the machines are cashless, and it is not tied to a license plate so it works in any vehicle. The lot holds about 50 cars with gravel overflow. There is an upper area and a lower one, and you take the trail to reach the lower pool.

Went on a Thursday afternoon in late August and the lot was nearly empty, just one other person there playing music. The water is clear and cold, but tolerable. There is an upper part and a lower part, and you take the trail down to the lower one. It is more of a wading spot than a real swim, not deep enough to swim hard. The drive in is scenic and there are a lot of standing dead trees from the fire, which looks cool. There are hazard signs up for mudslides, falling rock and dead trees, so stay on the trail. Best time is during the summer or fall imo.
