California's sauna and bathhouse scene runs from Korean spa complexes to single-room community saunas, and the clothing rule is set per venue rather than per city. What follows is everything on the Nanitch map, with whatever anyone has confirmed about each.

What to expect on clothing

These are private venues, and each one sets its own rule — some are textile, some are nude, plenty are nude on some sessions and not others, and a few are single-sex on particular days. A state's public-exposure law governs public places; it does not decide what happens inside someone's building.

Check the venue before you go, every time. Policies here change more often than anything else on this map — a schedule change or new ownership can flip a session overnight. Where we know the current rule it is on the spot's own page, with the date somebody last confirmed it.

Nanitch is a map, not a law firm, and none of this is legal advice. Rules change and enforcement is local — if it matters, check with the agency that manages the land before you go.

Named saunas imported from OpenStreetMap that nobody has confirmed yet. They are on the map and in the app, and they get a page here the moment someone reports back from one — not before. Listing every one of them:
