Florida is one of the few states whose exposure statute contains an explicit carve-out for designated places, which is why its established clothing-optional beaches sit on firmer ground than custom alone. The legal section below quotes it.

The law, briefly

Florida's statute is Fla. Stat. § 800.03 — it reaches exposure or nakedness “in a vulgar or indecent manner”, and it carves out an explicit exemption for “an individual who is merely naked at any place provided or set apart for that purpose”.

It is not drafted to reach ordinary, non-sexual nudity.

That is not the same as “it's legal here.” Counties and cities legislate separately, and whoever manages the ground — State Parks, the Forest Service, BLM, a county, a private owner — sets its own rules on top. Check the land manager for the spot you're actually going to.
